The CTS makes even “kid-schlepping, job-going tasks” enjoyable says…
…USA Today’s James Healey.
“DETROIT — Henry Ford II is quoted on why he fired Ford Motor President Lee Iacocca in 1978 as: “Sometimes you just don’t like somebody.”Well, it works the other way, too, and not just on people. Sometimes you just like a car.” Source: Review: Cadillac CTS sport wagon is just so darn likable – USATODAY.com

The future is now!

“Business must be going well for the American car manufacturer Cadillac. This year we can expect the CTS-V Coupé to hit the streets. At the Detroit Auto Show they showed us this XTS Platinum Concept. A four-door luxury saloon combining a 3.5 liter V6 with a hybrid power source. Output should be around 353bhp together with 400Nm of torque.Via this concept Cadillac is aiming to join the group of most comfortable cars on the US market. At the inside you can expect many gadgets such as buttons that appear and disappear by simply using touchscreen technology. In the back you will get the feeling of a limousine because of the large legroom. The interior is finished with several stylish added wooden parts. ” Source: Cadillac XTS Platinum Concept – GTSPIRIT.COM

GM’s Ed Piatek on Cadillac’s V series

“What makes a V-series car, and what can you not do with a Cadillac V?
The CTS-V Coupe is really the fourth or fifth generation of V. We started with the original CTS-V, STS, XLR-V, and now the CTS-V sedan and coupe. Consistent throughout these has been the application of performance and technology. It can’t be punishing. We want performance without the punishment. I think the key there is a bimodal character where you can get in the car and it’s got the poise and composure to be driven every day, like a luxury car has to be. It’s a Cadillac at the end of the day. But you want to be able to have track capabilities, acceleration performance among the best cars in the world. That’s where we’ve developed a bandwidth with V-series where the car truly is track capable right out of the box. And at the same time, it’s a car that you can drive every day without feeling like you’re in some kind of numbers-producing car with all the noise insulation removed.

The 2010 Outback is…
…the “it” vehicle everywhere!
“In Portland and Seattle, or throughout the coastal or mountain backcountry of the Pacific Northwest, you won’t have to look long to find a Subaru Outback. They’re every which way you look, in the driveways of everyone from windsurfers to skiers to antiquing empty nesters. And if there’s an official car of this region, this is it.” Source: Driven: 2010 Subaru Outback – The Car Connection
It’s easy to understand why, once again, the Outback was named the SUV of the year by Motor Trend.

The 2010 Cadillac SRX offers…
…premium power but uses regular gasoline!
“The second generation of Cadillac’s SRX luxury crossover is here. Or should that be “second iteration”? For while it is still Cadillac’s entry in the mid-sized luxury crossover class, the 2010 SRX shares nothing but its name with the vehicle that debuted back in model year 2004.Surprisingly, it’s a smaller, less-expensive vehicle.
Or maybe that’s not so surprising, given the volatility in fuel prices, changes in government fuel economy standards, concern over greenhouse gas emissions, and economic turmoil that seems to pass for early 21st Century reality.
Don’t think that “smaller and less-expensive” is synonymous with the pejorative “cheaper” here. Cadillac made that mistake once, long ago, and isn’t about to do that again. And parent General Motors is in no position allow, or even tolerate that, either. The 2010 SRX is a true Cadillac, and offers distinctive styling, good performance and fuel economy, and fine road manners that allow it to compete with the best from Japan, Germany, and the U.S.A. ” Source: 2010 Cadillac SRX 3.0 AWD Performance Review

The Mazda 3 fun to drive…
…says AutoWeek.com’s Jonathan Wong.
“Without taking into account the Mazdaspeed, Si and GTI models of the class, the Mazda 3 is hands-down my favorite player in the compact car field. The previous car struck a great balance between practicality and driving enjoyment that no other normal trim version car in this class could hold a candle to. If there was a small strike against the old car, it was that the interior could have used a little more style and possibly a slight upgrade in materials quality. With the new second-generation 3, it wears Mazda’s smiling front fascia, a tighter chassis and a well executed interior. Above all else it remains high on the fun-to-drive scale. The four-cylinder revs freely and provides good, constant power up to redline and mated to a respectable six-speed manual. Shifts are direct, but slightly crisper action is the only thing it left me wanting. Going down gears before a corner is easily done with perfect pedal placement and the engine’s decent throttle response.” Source: The 2010 Mazda 3 S Sport 5-Door, an AW Drivers Log

Check out the Cadillac CTS Coupe…
…you’ll be pleasantly surprised!
“Fancy the Caddy CTS but want something more sleek sexy and luxurious? Then the new Cadillac CTS Coupe is for you then. The last coupe to come from the American luxury brand was the XLR which was based upon the Corvette. This new CTS is will do battle with German competitors to get buyers looking for a mid level luxury coupe. The new Cadillac CTS Coupe is edgy and attractive from every angle. Most notable is the rear design with the mid form lay out of the exhaust which is super aggressive. The stance of the car sits two inches lower than the Cadillac CTS sedan which provides a more sporty stance for the vehicle. ” Source: Cadillac CTS Coupe set to do battle with European brands
